(ARes) Ex 13 Fd Sqn 1994-2000 before moving to Broome & transferring (sorry) to RAInf due to Civi work commitments. Currently a Patrol 2IC in Kimberley Sqn Norforce. The site is great and a credit to those who've put in the time asking little in return. Congrats to all.

The result is extremely good and a pat on the back to the WA Sappers. We now have some good sapper sites up and running and I know that they will get better in time.

The memorial page is somewhat out of date tho'. (2000) Text needs updating as do the pics on the opening page as it has been greatly improved since the early days. I did see a photo somewhere of the crowd at the last dawn service that would be a great inclusion.

By the way, anybody who served in Borneo can buy a book all about the conflict. Everybody who served in Borneo is named in the book. It is very interesting and might explain to you just why people back in Australia never heard of the conflict. It also covers 3 & 4 RAR, SASR , Small Ships, Artillery etc.

Also would appreciate a contact from anyone who was present when a drunk soldier pulled his SLR in a hut in Nui Dat approx May 1970, and who tried to shoot the soldier next to me but was too drunk to pull the trigger before Terry disarmed him.

Hey guys just on a break from an EOD contract in the Laos PDR, and having fun in Phuket. Just thought that I would let you all know that the ex RAE members working in Lao are fine and hard at it with no signs of the SARS virus, at least not yet.

The work is good and we are clearing a large number of UXO of all natures.
