Hi to all, I came across this site accidently when hunting for information on my grandfather Harry Powell who was a sergeant at Rottnest (35 Fortress) Harry was a photographer for Kodak before the war and we have a few photos of Rottnest mainly of Harry and others relaxing with a game of cricket and a cold?? beer! in front of the tents. sadly Grandad left us a few years back but he will always be missed.
Regards,
Jenny

Enjoying a great break down here in Tasmania. I would recommend it to all and sundry. The RAEA TAS boys are having a bronze copy of the original RAE hat badge circa 1903 made for their memorial day Anglesea Barracks we will look at getting a copy for our memorial at Karrakatta.
Some Sappers down here are, Rob Woolley, Denis Pegg, John Kranz (ex 22).
Back home 16 March 06 in time for St Patricks day.
